Merman

Here's another design I did for fun of a merman, thinking about good old Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. I hope I did your imaginations justice.

Hey Bruce,

Nice to see your blog! This works is (as Kev said) "friggin" good! I don't remember seeing this Mer-man before, but it's just great!

Glad to see you in the neighborhood. Maybe now we can chat more often! Nice to have a place outside of the work environment!

See ya later!

Great merman! Thanks for the comment on my blog. I'm going to school at the University of Washington in a 9-month certificate program. The instructor was googling through stuff and happened on your site. The examples on your site were shown in class as great examples of Character turnaround and attitude sheets.

Just got the link for Lambey, you've got some great work posted up. Took a look at your website and was blown away with your lighting and use of color. Question: did you happen to sketch the church in downtown San Rafael? Well, if you did, it really put my sketch to shame. I really liked your sea turtle illustraton as well. Do you mind if I link your blog? Thanks.

Thanks Gerald and Pollygone, Yeah I used to work as a waiter at San Rafael Joes and between shifts I would take my sketchbook and watercolor set and do a quick color study. Yeah that would be cool if you wanted to link my blog.
